Bai Wei was born from a simple craving—comfort food that evokes home, not just through taste but through feeling. These dishes can be hard to find, especially in moments when they matter most: busy days, late nights, or far from family. More than a meal, Bai Wei is a story, a heritage, and a quiet act of care.
Founded by Mei, an Asian American woman whose personal journey between cultures deeply shaped her vision, Bai Wei began as her way of sharing authentic flavors passed down through generations. Growing up surrounded by these rich traditions, Mei’s search for comfort and connection inspired a brand that brings meaningful tastes to people wherever they are, whenever they want.
Mei is joined by her partner, Alan, who shares her passion for honoring heritage and building community through food. Together, they continue to grow Bai Wei with the same spirit it started with, deep care, authenticity, and a love for bringing people closer to home.
Our name, Bai Wei 百味, means “a hundred flavors”—celebrating the depth and diversity of Asian cooking. More than ingredients, every bowl carries stories, care, and a true sense of home.
